Mosquito Surveillance in Harrison County

We are excited to announce a new program at our health department! 

Our health department was awarded funding from the Ohio EPA as part of their Mosquito Control Grant (MCG). This funding allowed us to grow our workforce in hiring two mosquito surveillance and control interns. We can use MCG funding to place traps around Harrison County so our interns can conduct mosquito surveillance. This is the first time our health department has written for and received this funding, so we are excited for this opportunity to learn more about mosquitoes in Harrison County!
